Big Creek – On June 8, United Silver Corp. miners at the Crescent Mine Project intersected the South Vein from the newly driven 3890-attack ramp.

Crews subsequently began exploratory I-drifting on East and West headings along the vein. It has been a year since exploratory I-drifting was last done on the South Vein, and then on the 3940-level.

Crews have since advanced over 200 feet on each heading, mining over 3,000 tons of exploratory test material, which is being stockpiled at the New Jersey Mill for processing.

Simultaneously, the New Jersey Mill is finishing its startup testing using Crescent Mine rock. The concentrates will be shipped to Formation Metals for final processing at their refinery located less than three miles from the mill.
